A Farewell Blessing for Katie

An Open Letter from BBI President, Charles Kelley

RIGA, Latvia – A little more than three years ago, a very special young lady from Texas joined Bridge Builders International as a missionary to Latvia.

.

Katie’s life experiences, education, professional training, international travel and compassionate heart came together to launch a unique vision for ministry in Latvia to those affected by disability – Designed to Live.

We welcomed her to the BBI Family, and I’m thrilled that we were able to get her established. I’m very proud of all that Katie has accomplished in these last years.

Katie has recently decided to join another mission sending organization: Greater Europe Mission (GEM), which specializes in sending and caring for missionaries all over Europe. We are happy to see her partner with GEM to continue growing her Designed to Live program in our beloved Latvia.

I encourage all friends of BBI to continue praying for her work. If you are a contributor to Katie’s personal support or to the Designed to Live ministry, please contact Katie directly for details at: kmleatherwood@gmail.com

Katie, here is a blessing patterned after Paul’s blessing to the church in Phillippi, which the entire BBI family conveys to you:

We thank God in all our remembrances of you, always in every joyful prayer for you because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now…and in the future. And we are sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

On behalf of the BBI family,

With love and grace,

Chuck Kelley
