AN AMAZING WEEK IN PROGRESS I wish you could see ... By Chuck Kelley
As I write this letter, I am looking at the skyline of Riga. It is 6:30 PM on an absolutely perfect Saturday evening. The blue sky is enhanced by a variety of incredible cloud formations, each reflecting multiple shades of pastel brilliance. In fact, I just stopped to snap a photo.
This backdrop of beauty provides a perfect setting for God's divine glory to shine through a whole host of human interactions.

I wish you could listen to the team leader from Houston First Baptist describe how much their team of 25 have grown to love their ministry partners from Jelgava where they are engaged in children's ministry. I wish you could have attended the special meeting at the Partners office where my friend, Greg Jamison (President of the San Jose Sharks), shared his testimony and philosophy of life, work and ministry. Our staff sat with rapt attention.

And I wish you could listen to the final concert of the Latvian National Song Festival which we will go to tomorrow night. Imagine hearing a 20,000 voice choir sing in an outdoor stadium seated with 90,000 people.
A few days ago, I asked you to pray and many have. Please keep praying. Some of the projects come to an end in 2 days. Others will continue several more weeks, while still others will only begin later this month.
I just peeked out the window at the skyline again. The sky is a different shade of blue, but just as beautiful. The clouds seem to be getting bigger.
The gentle breeze I felt a few minutes ago is stronger. I think it's going to rain tonight . . . maybe showers of blessing. If it does, it will serve as a wonderful illustration of multiple blessings that each person - Latvian, American, or Russian - have brought to this nation this month.
Keep praying.
With love,
Chuck Kelley
