BRIDGE BUILDERS INTERNATIONAL
presents
VENTURE LATVIA - AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Goals:

1. Broaden and increase support of local churches by:

Investing mentoring and financial resources into Christian business people who already support their church with time and tithes.

Providing business training and consulting through local churches to meet real needs in the community.

2. Provide avenues of evangelistic outreach into the community by assisting business expansion that increases employment of non-Christians as well as Christians.

3. Reduce dependence on American funding by establishing sustainable and growing businesses that can compete successfully for loans outside of the program.

Program Components:

Venture Latvia funnels time, treasure, and talents to assist business people on several levels:

Training many in business plan development, financial record-keeping, marketing, ethical business practices, and other business topics.

Mentoring selected business people whose businesses can move to the next level through one-on-one consulting.

Providing loans to the very well qualified few who have solid business plans but no access to funding.

Program Implementation:

The Venture Latvia program is administered through the infrastructure and network of Bridge Builders International and its Latvian branch office, Partners Foundation.

Experienced business women, Signe Kurga in Latvia and Marsha Hill in the U.S. (ephesians2@aol.com, 541-929-5627), work with business people on both sides of the ocean to provide solutions by connecting needs with expertise and funding.

BBI and Partners infrastructure also provides accurate and timely transmission of funds, proper receipting, loan monitoring, research of complex Latvian tax laws, and logistical support for trips and special events.

We manage the details so you experience meaningful ministry.

The Venture Latvia program operates within the network of over 40 churches in Latvia and the U.S., brought together in partnership through the BBI/Partners Sister-Church Partnership program.

Economic development is another expression of partnership in addition to joint evangelism, leadership and youth training, humanitarian aid, church and pastor assistance, etc., already in place in these partnerships.
