Dustin and Kristine Announce Summer Ministry Plans

    Thanks so much for prayers and responses to the last update.

    The outreach at the skatepark went great ... lots of youth, children, families ... and several have been to church in Madona since the outreach !! God also provided wonderfully through a donor for the cost of the event.  Praise God and thank you !

    Since then, Dustin spent a good week sick in bed with strep throat (praise God it wasn't Rebecca again) :)  We then had a week vacation, or maybe better to say our summer's weekend, since the days will be full from tomorrow until August 8.  One of our challenges in the summer is being involved in camp fully, while still leading the churches on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday evenings, Sunday worship in both churches and Sunday School in Ergli.

    Please pray for strength, patience, energy, grace, wisdom and passion for God throughout the next six camps.

    Tomorrow we start Intern Specialised Training, and then others join us for Training Camp week on Tuesday.

    And then... Focus of the camps will be do begin our deepen a relationship with Christ

    July 5 - 9  Youth camp age 13-17  (theme: "Around the World with Jesus Christ"  -- we will be joined by the youth group from First Baptist of Bend, Oregon).

    Bethany and Kristine will be at the big folkdance festival in Riga, as Bethany's group won a place in this big event.

    July 12 - 15 Children's camp age 7 - 12 (theme: " Let's Jump")

    July 16 -18  Ladies Retreat (Kristine leading for Madona and Ergli Churches)

    July 21 -25 Youth camp with Vilandes Baptist Church in Riga, with Richardson Baptist Church of Richardson, Texas:  "Festival"

    July 26 -29  Children's camp age 7 - 12 (theme: "Plunge")

    Aug. 2 -6  Youth camp age 13-17  (theme: "Survival with Christ")

    Aug. 7  Internship wrap-up

    Aug. 18 we fly to Oregon to begin our 9 month furlough.  We will be living in Christmas Valley, but look forward to traveling around and spending time with all those we miss so much while here in Latvia.
