Kristine Peterson Paints at Mission Days
Mission Days 2010
From Darkness to Light
1 February 2010 – Mission Days 2010 was fabulous in many ways, including the three sessions when Latvian artist, Kristine Peterson painted while everyone worshipped. The worship leader was Valdis Indrisoniks.
Kristine’s first painting illustrates the heavy burden of sin that so many carry all throughout their lives. But when they come to Christ, He is available to forgive sin, grant new life and bring peace.
It is Fulfilled
3 February 2010 – Kristine Peterson’s second painting added another dimension of worship and thoughtfulness. The name of the piece is 'Piepildit' or 'Fulfilled'. It is a reference to Jesus' final words, "It is Finished". Again, Valdis Indrisoniks leads the worship.
How Wonderful Your Name
3 February 2010 – Kristine’s third Mission Days painting dealt with the call that God places on our lives and the tendencies we have to resist Him. So she painted the portrait of a young Jeremiah who resisted God’s call on his life, but God assured him not to be afraid:
"Ah, Sovereign LORD," I said, "I do not know how to speak; I am only a child." But the LORD said to me, "Do not say, 'I am only a child.' You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD. Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, "Now, I have put my words in your mouth.” Jeremiah 1: 6, 9
